The researchers have designed, expressed, purified, and tested a variety of anti-HIV proteins. These reagents have novel arrangements of components with anti-HIV activity, and the researchers are searching for the most effective reagent considering expression level, neutralization breadth and potency, and in vivo half-life. The CAVD in vitro pseudovirus neutralization assays are a critical tool for evaluation of these molecules.
